That would be terrible for Sacramento... giving away 2 "possible" all star quality players for 3 journeymen/backups. Let's hope whoever would think about proposing this type of trade doesn't have anything to do with the King's organization.
NO this would not work, because Ron Artest would get shot in Miami.
I think this trade would be great for both sides, too but the Heat would probably have to throw in at least another first rounder to make the talent exchange equal. The Heat would definitely be the favorite coming out of the east if this trade went down. Plus, I think Shaq could be the guy that got Artest to settle down. And the Kings would have what Bill Simmons calls a "white wash" starting lineup, which would be awesome too.
Wow... I would love that to happen because Miami will be unstoppable but all that is just a dream.

As for Kings, I doubt that would work for them either because they'll be short of PG. The Kings wouldn't want an injury-bug on their line-up roster. Kings also already have too many big men. Adding another 2 big men is just not right.

No, it will never happen. First, and foremost, the Wolves are not going to move Garnett unless they get quality young talent and draft picks in return for him. The Nets would likely have to include one or two of the following: Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, Sean Williams, and Antoine Wright in addition to a first round pick in the deal for them to have any interest.

Secondly, they already have Ricky Davis and just drafted Corey Brewer so I doubt they would have any real interest in taking on Richard Jefferson.

in terms of skills matchup you did a decent job, problem is that the distribution is kind of lopsided (1-5-1), i don't see what the pacers are gonna do with 5 new players (4 really, odom is an easy decision)

Since Pop does not have a very fond view of Manu, this trade does involve Manu being traded away but can get a person to pick up at center. (either randolph or duncan can move to C). This trade also improves their bench that will provide for san antonio's oft-injured starters.

Toronto-

They get Manu. This trade may thin their bench, but they get Manu. Kapono can move to starting SF.

New York-

They get rid of Randolph and Jared Jeffries horrific contract. And they get a young, productive point guard in TJ ford (he's not unhealthy, he just kind of got decapitated by Al Horford), letting Jamal Crawford move to his more natural position at SG. They also get quite a few expiring contracts.

Lakers would get kidd but be able to keep lamar, bynum, and kobe, plus kidd wants out and is unhappy right now.

the nets would be getting curry, who can help them score down low and that could be an answer to their problems if he loses weight and gets in top b-ball shape. plus they get crittenton, a pg who the lakers think will become a star. they also get an expiring contract in fred jones, and a 3 point shooter which they badly need in vlad radmonavic. Not bad, but unless you're counting on Chris Mihm and DJ Mbenga to play center, I can't see how the Lakers can afford to make this deal, even if New York and New Jersey were willing. The trade deadline is February 21st, and Andrew Bynum isn't due back until mid March.

Frankly, I think New Jersey is leaning towards doing the deal with Dallas.

Ben and Mike Miller Trade. If he won't do it and you are desperate to trade him then offer a another player that isn't good, that will get the person thinking about the trade.
I would still do the trade where you get Corey Maggette. Even though Maggette is a huge injury risk, Wallace probably hurts your teams more than he helps. Sure he can get rebounds, steals, and blocks, but he's averaging only 4 points a game. He's shooting under 33%, and for a big man, that's horrendous. Plus, he's only shooting 50% from the line. Definetely take the trade for Maggette.
both players have negatives. big ben is doing kinda bad and maggette is an injury waiting to happen. if you need scoring and ft% go w/ maggette.
i think the one for mike miller is better because he is a great three point shooter and he get more assist and rebounds but corey get alot of points

I am going to trade Odom for Ben Wallace because a friend of mine wanted Odom and I decided to lock him in because I knew Wallace would still be there at my friend's pick.

My question is should i accept another team offered up Nash for Duncan which on stat wise is a good trade for me but on my grand scheme of things I would lose my potential lock on Reb %26amp; Block but I may gain a potential contender for Ast %26amp; 3PTM.

Another thing to consider is that I offered up Mobley %26amp; Diaw for Al Thornton which is up in the air at best but I am going to pick up Walker (FA) due to the man short.

You don't need Steve Nash for the assists and 3PTers because you have plenty of players good in those stats. You are lacking in blocks with only TD and Yao. So hang on to TD for his blocks, rebounds and points.

Next time you do these trade, you gotta make sure every team is willing to do it first.

Spurs would never trade Bowen, except for maybe Marion and maybe artest. But Bowen was lik top 5 for DPOY and the Spurs game is defence so why would they trade him away.

I'm not even sure Lakers would do the trade, they aren't getting much firepower back.

I doubt sacremento would do the trade. Defensively Artest and Bowen are almost equal, but Artest can score much better.

This trade scenario is clearly in favor of the Bulls, they lose two scrubs and a a big contract that is clearly underperforming. In return they get a hell of a scorer.

If the 76ers could pull it off it would be by far the most monument trade ever in the NBA. Whats next? Is there going to be a three way trade for Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Kobe for a 5th, 6th, and 7th round pick. There is no possibility of this ever happening, especially with the other teams getting absolutely NOTHING in return for some of the best young talent in the entire NBA.

I would hope that, that line up could win the Eastern Conference. That line up would be pretty good in the Western Conference.

I question Yi though just because of the way things have played out for him. The way things are going unless the Buck's actually get something I'd just keep the rights to him and never allow him to play in the NBA after screwing a franchise over like that. You don't see players from other countries doing that. But then too China is complaining about Yow Ming taking time to play his wedding and visit really sick children instead of being at National Team practice when he is by far their best player.

The hornets and Magic don't get anything for some top of the line players. They get some older players WAY past their prime for great players that got like 5 years until they are in their prime.

Bucks might do it because of YI but the sixers get everything. Nobody is that dumb.

But everything put aside it might happen if the sixer trade their 1st round picks for the next 10 years. It might be worth it if you could get YI, Paul and Howard on the same time.

The sixers are on a right pathway. give them a couple of more years and they will get better. All a team needs to do is one good trade and they can contend. Just look at the warriors.

Honestly its probably one of the most addicting things out there.

Usually you can create pretty decent trades that would end up helping out both teams. Sadly enough a lot of people just make up some bull crap trades that send Kobe to their favorite team along with Lebron and Wade. Its not exactly what its made for, but the addiction part is what people use it for.

I personally feel it does some good, but then in the end its probably the most useless thing that ESPN has ever made. It just get the hopes up of people who thinks those trades might actually happen. For instance...I saw a trade were a guy traded Josh Boone and Kidd to the Lakers for...7 other crappy Lakers...that's right 7...errm...the roster max for the NBA is 15 players...erm...they would of had 17 or so...so crap trades like that one come out.

I just find it funny and interesting though.

This trade is OK but no way would San Antonio trade away players like Duncan and Parker who are core players in their tight group of players. Josh Howard would not fit in well with Phoenix's run and gun offense, although Parker might.

With an emphasis on the sucess teamwork and humble players in sports (see the Spurs and the Patriots), no smart franchise would even think of chasing Kobe and his attitude problem.

Toronto keeps JOse Calderon at PG and upgrades their SG spot with a veteran and a young but coming star in JR. The addition of Tim Thomas can allow for a rotation in the PF and C position between Bargnani, Thomas, Bosh, and Humphries.

Clippers unload all their unwanted contracts. They also get a much younger PG than Sam Cassell. (Ford is not unhealthy. He got decapatated by Horford). This gives them around 20 million to sign a SG-more than enough to win a bidding war for (possibly) Marbury, Finley, Agent 0, Gibson, or Gordon, etc

Nets wouldn't take that because Stack and Dampier earns 7 and 10m respectively and has 3 and 4 years remaining in their contract respectively. The Nets want young players, expiring contracts, and draft picks. I really think there's a need for a 3rd team to help send Jason Kidd to Dallas. Before, Portland got involved but they changed their minds.

philly gets ripped off here. andre miller is a very good PG, and i doubt philly wants to lose thad young, he is still young and has lots of potential. too early to give up on him now. plus all they get is a old pg and a decent pf. not worth the loss.

Yes, the trade would benefit every team but the team who got the most benefit is the Wizard. The Wizards would be trading injured players at the moment and that would mean the other team cant use them ....The Cavaliers also would be overloaded at the Center position if Thomas plays , and this would mean that Varejao will be playing at PF....

With Jermaine O'neal on the Cavaliers he'd probably play at power forward and I like him better at center. Ilgauskas still has a couple good years left to play center.

Larry Hughes is injury prone and hasn't been the same since he came from Washington. The Pacers get Drew Gooden who is an above average power forward but thats not enough for O'neal.

I would have to say no, I mean all of the players the nets are getting have only one year left on thier contract and I doubt they want that, unless they are rebuilding and they are not. Also Marcus Williams is a young player on the rise and they really don't want to give him up. Carter yeah maybe they might want to clear some cap, but now that Kidd wants out they might want to keep him. It's not that the trade wouldn't be possible, but rather improbable due to the difference in skill of the players, I mean the Raptors would have to throw in a draft pick or two.

Yes Chicago would get screwed in that deal. Ben Wallace is a defensive/rebounding freak, and Heinrich is a pretty good PG and shooter. Mike Miller isn't a bad shooter, but Paul Gasol is less than amazing, and is very inconsistent. Would be a great trade for the Grizzlies though.

The trade would not work for the Jazz... They would be getting ripped off! Boris Diaw is playing horrible ball and the Jazz already have two great perimeter sharp shooters. Plus, Boozer would really clash with Stoudemire and Shaq. He's a little cocky and would want to start. The competition between those three for a starting gig would get intense and crush a lot of team chemistry.

All three trades greatly enhance the teams.

The Lakers had to give up almost nothing for Gasol and he fits right into their system. That was definitely a great move for the Lakers.

Shaq is better than people are giving him credit for. One of the best things about him coming to Phoenix is Amare moving to Power Forward. This will let Amare tare apart other teams and creat a 1-2 punch with Shaq and Amare. It makes the Suns able to compete against other teams like the Spurs. He will help the Suns weakest areas of interior defense and rebounding.

Jason Kidd will help the Mavs and bring some intensity and toughness to them. His skill set make the Mavs just as dangerous as anyone else in the West. Although this deal isn't official yet, it is again likely to happen after it was almost dead.

Overall everyone improves greatly, but we won't know who got the best deal until June.

If Shaq is in decent shape and in good health, Sun would have had the better deal.

Suns would have 2 great low-post guys and 3 great shooters around them, which could mean that there will be less double teams on Shaq and Amere.
I was suprised when Shag was traded to the Suns, but I think i'm going to enjoy watching the Suns even more
I think the shaq trade was the best. People think it was a bad trade because if you think about it, talent for talent they got screwed. Marion is a much better player than shaq right now, bu t the suns desperatley needed a big man. Amare plays his natural PF position now and they will actually have a low post presence with ALOT of championship experience. if you ask me i'd say the suns definatley are the team to beat in the west now that they have shaq.

Sorry dude, it would never happen. Eric Dampier actually hurts the deal (nobody wants that guy especially with his salary). Josh Howard and Jason Terry are really nice pieces, and Devin Harris is alright, but Boozer is a real emerging star, and is Utah's number 1 guy...

I guess the way I would break it down is (and this is taking salary out of it). From Utah's point of view. I wouldn't trade Boozer for Howard and Harris, I wouldn't trade Williams for Terry and I certainly wouldn't trade Brewer for Dampier. I don't think I would take Dampier (with his contract) for 2 hot dogs and a cold beer. It would also from a salary perspective be Utah paying for the privelage of being robbed.

No need to trade players. Mavs were the best team in the regular season. They will again be the best team next year. They may even break their own WIN record with the same lineup of players.

They failed in the playoffs because they didn't pound the Warriors like what the Jazz did inside the shaded lane. Instead of capitalizing on their inside game, the Mavs opted to go small and run with the warriors.... Not Nowitzki's fault. It's Avery's fault.

Wow that reminds me of an old fashioned early 80's NBA swap. I think the Mavs would get the better of that deal with Carlos and Derron but then I think that Howard may have the biggest upside of them all.

You are right about the money part that would kill this deal.
No way the Mavericks would never trade Jodh Howard or Jason Terry those two and Dirk are the reson why the Mavericks won so many games Are you insane? Whaca smokin' on? Now Dampier for Ronnie Brewer would be good or Paul Milsap would be better than Eric Dampier and I guess you could trade Devin Harris for Daron Willaims but, then you woud lose the second best defensive palyer on that team. What good would that do for the Mavs they need big men that won't choke!!! Somebody like Alozo Mourning a big time defensive palyer big time Averaging 5 or 6 Blocks a game !!!!!!

That trade will never happen but you are headed in the right direction. You need both a pg and a low post scoring threat. Some cheap viable options would be to get brevin knight to play the pg and slide terry over to sg and alonzo mourning to be a back up big man to add toughness to this soft team.

KINGS- get rid of bibby, artest (both would be gone soon anyway) and mikki moore (necessary for financial reasons)

get ford (pg to couple with martin, a backcourt of the future)

gooden(solid rebounder and could compliment miller nicely)

nesterovic (expiring contract)

snow (necessary for financial reasons, only has one year left tho)

CAVS- gives up gooden (have varejao anyway) and snow (ton of money for a backup pg that would be 3rd string with bibby there anyway)

get bibby...finally get a quality pg, wanted kidd but couldnt get him

RAPTORS- give up ford (calderon is way better), nesterovic(necessary for financial reasons)

get mikki moore (financial reasons) and artest (the wing player they really need to go along with calderon, bosh, bargnani....artest can score, rebound, and most importantly defend opponents best perimeter player)

wow, this is pretty bad. first of all memphis would have to cut 1/3 of its roster to get these 6 players. and besides theyre not trading gasol and miller for complete garbage which is what you gave. nocioni is the best player in the deal and he aint even worth miller.

denver and chicago get steals, they barely give up anything they get 2 good players.
I doubt this trade would work. There is too many players going to the grizzles, theres not enough roster space. Second I doubt the grizzles would even consider giving up gasol and miller without having at least hinrich or gordon coming in.
I think the Grizzlies already have a lot of players on their bench, and getting like 8 for 2 doesn't help that problem any. Furthermore, you're not getting anybody really worthwhile. While you end up solving Chicago's inside problem and Denver's perimeter threat issue, you've just swamped Memphis with a bunch of reserves. It's too lopsided to happen, Memphis isn't giving up it's top two players for a bunch of scrubs.

none of these teams would do this. doesnt make any sense for any team. nj gets no post player, no point guard, backups for vince and jefferson. lakers doesnt change. atlanta has a young good squad, and their growing law, no need for kidd.
This one doesn't make sense. Nets get goo many and Lakers get too few. Salary doesn't add up.
I doubt Kidd would want to goto the Hawks. they're in pretty much the same situation as the Nets are now.

Colangelo is smart enough to know that you don't trade a low post stud like Bosh for an unproven post player and 3 other guys who are better on the perimeter offensively.

Phoenix is not going to trade Marion within the division and essentially get only Al Harrington back in the deal. The rest of those guys are just filler. They'd be giving up guys who fit their offensive system for 3 guys who really don't.
as a fellow Ws fan, this would be a dream come true however it wont. i can somewhat see the raptors doing this because even though they lose bosh, they get an allstar back in marion and a guy who has the potential to be the next bosh in brandan wright. the reason why i think the raps would decline is because they lose jose calderon who is an exceptional backup PG. he is really good.

the suns definitely wont do this. because 3 of the 4 either suck or are unproven. harrington is the only thing they get and it aint worth losing marion for harrington, thats for damn sure.
This is a tough one. Im not sure the Warriors would be willing to make this trade in the first place...let alone the other 2 teams accepting. Im dont think they would give up Harrington and the main part of the deal they got for J. Rich. Don't get me wrong Bosh is a great player and would fit in becuse these 2 teams both run a fast offense. The Warriors just signed T. Hudson to back up Davis so that would negate the need for Calderon. They also have Ellis who can play some PG. Phoenix gives up The Matrix, who wanted out earlier, along with 2 promising rookie guards. They really only get Harrington in return; the other players are mere roll players. From the looks of it the Raptors come out on top. They only lose 3 player, one being truely worth something (Bosh) and they gain Marion, along with 3 promising rookies. In close i can see Toronto taking a hard look at this, but if i were a GM for the Warriors or Suns I would probably have to decline or get more out of it.

Lakers not giving up 3 bigs (Odom, Walton and Vladimir) way to much for Kidd and Artest. They need to size to battle with Suns and Spurs in the Playoffs. Lakers do not need Kidd and Artest does not bring anything that Kobe and/or Odom already bring to the table.
